Water-logged Evo V-Flow

The stock air box has a hole at the bottom of it so water can drain out. I noticed when I installed my V-Flow that it didn't have a drain hole. Well, it has been raining quite a bit lately and I noticed that after it rains my car hesitates a little when I accelerate briskly. After it rained today I opened my rear deck lid and low and behold, a good quantity of water had collected at the bottom of the intake. Has anyone else noticed this problem, and if so, would drilling a hole at the bottom of the intake solve the problem, without adversely affecting the intake's function? Also, any recommendations on how big a hole to drill at the bottom of the unit? Thanks.

Yes, I believe you should drill a hole at the buttom so water can drain out.

Yes,there should be a hole at the bottom ,make sure it is not cogged with debris......if no hole drill a 3/8 hole and you will be good.
