Procrastination

So I was at the Button Willow school with the BMWCCA, and as usual, the Sad Diego chapter did a fantastic job.

Here are some pictures:

And what's up with the stock suspension squat?

And here's me spreading the good words about Savage BMW.

Apparently, the DFL sticker job was a big hit with the instructors. My first instructor was from AZ, and didn't know anything about me, and was quite leery of my D for Life reputation that is on display at the rear bumper.

Anyway, so now, I am surfing the web, laying around, doing anything except what I should be doing, cleaning off the sticker glue residue and wash the bugs. R tire treads, and brake dusts off my car and wax the darn thing. I suppose I am procrastinating also because the car had been sitting for a week after the DE since I was in NY most of the week on business. Hopefully the stuff is not caked on.

I read your BMW horror story, it sucks that BMW NA offered no help, don't feel bad Porsche NA offered no help to me when I had a problem with a dealer.

So did I, it is a shame they don't admit fault and move on. I hope that never happens to me!

Update

I never knew the consequences of leaving a car with dead bugs, brake dust, and tar sitting for a week (I was out of town on biz trip) until I started washing the car.

It took two cycles of soap/water to get the car clean.

Then it took lots and lots of elbow grease to get the tar off the front of my car.

And then there are the wheels which thankfully, because I have been waxing them regularly, was super easy to clean.

Let's not forget vacumming the car to get all the rocks and dirt from Button Willow off my car.

Finally it was waxing time.

It was six hours later by the time I got done. I wonder how many calories did I burn cleaning my car?

Crap, I just realized that I still have to clean and condition the leather interior.
