exhaust options
Mike,
Couple things I had questions on. How is it that your exhuast somehow made 60hp gain?? Doesn't even sound possible. No offense but, with most other exhausts making 30hp, it would lead me to believe that you have come up with a design that is so far superior to all others. With all the R&D dollars some of these exhaust manufacturers spend it seems odd that no one has ever come close to a 60hp gain??
Do you have any sound clips of the exhaust?
Doesn't 300 cell cats seem way excessive and restrictive?
What HP will this exhaust be acceptable to? 600, 700? more?
Thank you for your candor.

Lou:
I understand exactly what you are asking, that is precisely why I asked for back-to-back dyno curves to do an accurate performance comparison. The 60 hp numbers were not quite exact so direct comparison is a little difficult.
I have the same heavily tuned performance questions but a X50 upsolute is pretty good. Also, I don't think we know how any of the other exhausts compare on highly tuned cars, or do we?

Vincent's car was the first car with the K24's to be tested. We will be installing the K24's on our car within the next 2 weeks to verify the power claims. We were as surprised as you are. Just ask Vincent. He witnessed the dyno himself.
We have already posted on our website the figures on our K16 car.

We have recorded various soundbytes which we are compiling. As I type this, the website for the exhaust is being revamped.
I would describe the sound as being deeper at idle, crisp and throaty at WOT. The part throttle on the highway is deeper than stock, but does not have the drone at 2200-2400 rpm that many aftermarket systems do.
As for the cats, we do not want customers calling us up in 2 years saying that the CE light is on due to cat efficiency issues. The 100 cell cats were never designed for emission standards in the United States.
I will be posting a dyno plot of the difference between 300 cell and no cats at all. You will be surprised how small the difference is. So why bother with 100 cell?
We knew this was going to ruffle feathers. It's going to be an uphill battle, but we will show you that 100 cell is not worth the emissions risk.
The system has never been tested on a car with anything larger than K24's.
I have received a ton of email with various questions. I am doing my best to answer them asap. Thanks for your patience!

Mike, will you be offering different sound levels. I personally like a loud, mean sounding exhaust with little resonance. My Cargraphic fits that to a "T", however, I was thinking of having one fabricated for me, however, if yours proves to be loud enough and making higher hp numbers, then I feel I should consider it.

Lou-
Absolutely. We will have a loud and quiet version.
