It's hard to find the FVD Intake plenum kit, so I decided to try this one and the fit and finish was great. The design seems to be superior and comes with an upgraded fuel filter.$$ Definitley helps with spool up and I feel it was very worth the money. I think it would be good for anyone Stage IV and higher...

I had Speed Gallery do the install for me..I believe you have to drop the engine, but I did it in conjuction with a clutch upgrade, so it made sense to do it at the same time...

Umm... Sorry, but what's "Stage IV"?

The picture of the parts by themselves look really amateurish, but once installed, it looks quite good.

So were did they place the manifold? Can it be seen from the engine access opening?

What about the intake ducting? It looks like dryer hose in the photo....what's it look like in person?

is the hp increase proven? looks pretty good but i wouldve felt weird to spend that dough on something like that on eBay, i don't see any testing or dyno sheets... i'm not saying it might not be a good product but not a proven product... didn't see a website like either. seems like u made out good though, very nice

Basically, it is enlarged, uniform tubing from the air filter to the turbos. The stock intake pipes do not seem to be the best for flow, as they have some sharp curves and odd flat spots. They may be fine for stock k16's, but as you increase the amount of air being sucked into the turbo, tuners have learned that a larger, more uniform path increases the turbos performance. I think this was a safe bet for Adam...and will contribute to his cars performance, as it is a copy/very close variation of the FVD, Gemballa or EVO intake pipes.
