Yummy 997 GT3 seats

I'm lucky today! I just scored me some great 997 GT3 seats, fresh from germany with a complete CF shell and a porsche emblem stamped in em! I can't wait to get them in... I picked one up, they have to be around 20-25lbs with the hardware on them!

... catch... I'm now on a starvation diet now... I must lose 20lbs to fit my fat *** in them!

I didn't get them from a vendor, but I will fire you a PM. They are not inexpensive by any stretch of the imagination. But they are a really really nice seat, a little narrower at the top than the the 996 GT3 seat (which I like the idea of).

My car is at the body shop having the carbon fiber hood and wing/trunk fitted, and a few pieceds of trim (rockers, lower back bumper skirt) painted black to match the car. When I get it all back together I will post.

Here are some I am installing in a little project 997C2S. The picture quality isn't the greatest, as the florescent lights in the shop I haven't figured out yet.....

Those seats look sexy in a 997, but damn they will look even sexier in a 996! hehehe. I love them.

IaDoc, and Doc,

Very nice fab work, I commend.
I just put GT3 seats in and the same harnesses and oh, what a difference.

They are Champion RG5's painted black. The owner is currently having another set of Champions (IIRC) in flat black being mounted up with track tires as we speak. That is going to look pretty mean I think.

It had Kinesis rims on it, but when we put the Brembo big brake kit on, the valve stems (they came from the center of the rim) didn't clear the calipers (glad I spun the wheel before letting it down off the lift!).

Boy that is no joke. These seats are not for big people.

I have to be honest and say I still prefer the original GT3 seat.
