Brembo Two Piece Front Rotor Kits...

hey folks, we just started carrying brembo's 330mm light weight two piece rotor upgrades for the 996TTs. These are direct bolt-on replacement for those of you with the stock steel (big reds).

They'll be available at the end of this month.. either way not a bad idea for the track guys

http://www.sharkwerks.com/products.php?pid=198

You can get them from us or any other Brembo supplier but just an FYI.

is it possible to replace just the rotor, and not the whole rotor and hat assembly, later on down the line?

Chasen - because the Brembo rotor uses McLaren patented hardware, the hat is never a consumable item. When you do need to replace the rotor, which will be never, you just replace the hardware and the disk.

Why never? Will these fit with stock 996 brakes?

Also, the description in the link says they are drilled but the pic shows them slotted, which one is it? How are they on the street?

How long will these really last compared to stock? The car will be used for 95% track. The stockers lasted about 15days for me.

These will probably last you an entire season at least. The true floating design of the McLaren hardware keeps the rotor in a centerline and even pad wear. Unlike other 2pc rotors that use a cheaper disk and non floating hardware, you will not crack, warp, or prematurely wear these out. Just a true FYI, the 996TT replacement rotors for the stock 4piston brakes will be coming in DRILLED ONLY. My advice to you for someone that tracks so much, make the investment in doing the 6piston GT3 calipers with the 350mm 2pc Brembo slotted rotors, or step up to their monoblock 6piston 14 inch BBK. If you run the stock wheels, you have to go with the GT3 kit.

So about how much about are these rotors going for? I know I need to replace my brakes soon and might as well do the rotors while i'm in there.
