3.0 Competition "X-Pipe"


SpeedTech advantages include:

• Hi-Flow 100 cell catalytic converters with propietary SpeedTech laser jet cut flanges, flow matched to the BW KKK Porsche OEM turbos. We do not use off the shelf 3" turbo flanges - we make our own larger diameter flanges for improved flow.
• Optional catless "RACE" pipes, in lieu of Hi-Flow cats
• Heavy duty support brackets with mounting straps to keep the weight off the turbos and headers, eliminating long term fatique and potential subsequent failure
• Modular design. Our system sound and/or performance can be altered at minimal expense with SpeedTech components that are readily available. Examples would be going from 2.5 to 3.0, catted to catless, tip choice, etc. This means you are not locked in to any one performance, sound or appearance level with any SpeedTech exhaust. • Standard dual wall, polished stainless steel tips will not permanently discolor or stain from heat like single wall tips and can always be very easily polished to a new car show room finish! Perfect for car shows and easy maintenance.

I've got an 04 X50 Cab (tip). It's loud as heck and I wonder if it has an aftermarket exhaust.

What I'm looking for is quieter and faster

Any good exhaust/tune combos for that 'want'?

Hi Tom,

Our X-cellerator 2.5 "quiet" X-flow aka cross-flow design has passed the test for many as being very comfortable in a market that has a lot of of loud, high drone exhausts. It also sounds fantastic when compared to other exhausts - we use a unique internal "X" that when encased in our muffler, really quiets the drone and creates a fantastic GT3 type note. Based on your desciption, I feel you probably have one of the conventional design louder aftermarket exhausts. We have had several cab/tip owners install our 2.5 quiet with positive results and they have all been very pleased with the sound levels.

 

Will this setup work on a 05' 996 turbo S? How much? Is it worth it!

 

This is the best bang for the buck power mod you can do - it will transform the car. Check your PM for details...

X flow exhaust of Speedtech has by far the best sound on 996TT...And John is a great guy to deal with...You cant go wrong with this package...

 

I did the reverse. I have the flash and the 3.0 coming soon. Have a look at the EPL thread for $999.

 

PM's sent - the X50 has several options due to the larger K24's, you can go straight flash, 5 bar FPR flash or injectors with OEM FPR flash...each level offering higher boost and more power...
