Does it free up any additional power?

 

Yes, it will. We have seen ~ 8 HP on a N/A car with the same amount of underdrive with no weight savings. With the combo of the weight savings and the underdrive, I would suspect at least 10 hp. We will be testing just the pulley on a car to see the difference and will post the results.

How does this affect the voltage as the alternator would be putting out less charge? Would you need to bump up your idle speed to get full charge? I am interested but dont need anymore electrical issues.

 

Does the stock one have any kind of dampner in it?

 

No problem with the electrical system. The underdrive amount is the same as the stock GT3. The alternator / charging systems are the same.

How long would this take for a guy with average mechanical skills and a two-post lift?

 

What if you are running it with LWFW (very LWFW that is... lol)... very occasionally get a stall, I suspect this will tip it over the edge!!!

 

Once the exhaust is off the car, ~30 minutes.

 

Should be no problem then. The exhaust is easy enough.
