Coolant leak from underneath the engine
Coolant leak from underneath the engine
Hi all,
My name is Jan and I have a 996 TT 2003 and noticed in the severe weather we are having in the UK now that I have a leak that is coming from the back of the car, if you go maybe 2 feet inwards from the back there is a metall to metal coupling around an inch in diameter and the coolant is dripping from this. I had been told that radiators can be a problem but was surprised to see this. I will take a photo in the morning, the fluid seems greenish in colour but I do see the coolant tank has lost a fair bit, from max down to just below minimum and still dripping as we speak. As this is metal to metal, I fear it could be a part that is cracked rather than a hose.
Any ideas good people ?. I am getting some ramp time tomorrow so will know just that I find it hard to sleep knowing there is a problem on my drive.
Thanks in advance
Jan

Welcome to 6speed Jan, your first post I see.
It would help if you posted a picture, you will find plenty of help on here.
By the way , I think you should have posted in the 996 Turbo/ GT2 forum not classified.
I dont think you will get many tech answers from here.
Try and post again.
