Smile

Several weeks ago I took my 996 turbo with K16 billets and PS10's to a DE event at the Virginia International Raceway (VIR). It was an amazing weekend where I could really open the car up.
Guess what, the stock clutch slipped under heavy throttle.
I am now scheduling time for my local Indi shop to install a 2.5 clutch kit and injectors.

Mark,
Do you have an estimate what my WHP will be after the injectors and upgraded tune?

Thanks,
Jim

Hi ,
It would be nice to have some decent Intercoolers on the set up. 1.25 bar on k16 billets will produce decent amount of heat.

Thanks Markski

I just wanted to give an update and thank Markski for the countless email correspondence to help me get my car running correctly.
Over the last few months I have run a series of Durametric data logs and emailed to Markski for review.
My car has K16 billets, injectors, ipd plenum, Kline exhaust, BMC air filter, Sach 2.5 clutch kit, denso 3245 gapped at 0.025".

Initially my car had a lunging/jerking at WOT that was very difficult to fix.

There were multiple boost leaks and I could fix the diverter valve (replaced with upgraded OEM) and loose fitting at plenum. I was unable to reach the largest leak which was caused by my previous mechanic not seating the intake runner correctly when re-installing the engine. He made many mistakes so I am not going back to him.
Now it holds 20 psi for more than 20 seconds.

Finally I bit the bullet and replaced the original MAF and O2 sensors with Bosch as well as the spark plugs(olds ones installed before the turbo upgrade about 7000 miles ago denso IK22 gapped at 0.032") with denso 3245 gapped at 0.025".

I just made a 3rd gear data pull this morning and the results were great with very smooth acceleration and full boost up to redline.

Markski helped me through all of the above and without his help it would not have happened. I am very grateful for all of his help and his passion for the 996TT.

Markski, your customer support is second to none!

Thanks again!
Jim

Markski is the man. His customer service is amazing, and his knowledge for the cars we drive is equally amazing. How do you like your k16 billets?

The K16 billets with injectors made a dramatic improvement over the stock setup. There is hardly any lag to speak of. I do not plan run putting the car on the dyno but similar setups have made about 530 hp at the wheels. With the right exhaust you can really hear the turbos spool which sounds great to my ears. The mods I have done are technically "bolt on" but did take some time to tweak but the results totally transformed the car. I even get about 25 mpg on the interstate with the 60 lb injectors when I'm not on the throttle.

levinsje, how much of a difference do you feel 5bar vs. injectors on same 93?
I have 5bar and I'm not sure injectors are going to make that big of a difference but who knows....

If you add Intercoolers and injectors get it retuned there is always room for more power. You can let say on those special days throw in 100 octane and get free hp but on a 5 bar ur maxed out way before that.
However , a 5 Bar tuned right is still a great option.
