Since my car is a C4S, about 1700 RPM is about right with a rapid release of the clutch but not popping it.

Never heard of this. Have you done this and can you describe the feel? I've always hated the feel of Porsche's clutch and I still to this day, occasionally stall my car.

It depends on your mods and thus shape of your powerband. You will get a feel for it with practice as you familiarize yourself with the car. That said, also bear in mind that there is an unspoken social accountablity when driving a Porsche. Some communities may be quick to reprimand if Porsches are driving like deutsche-bags and performance launching from every stop light.

the feel is stiffer pedal and the engagement is consistant. Remove item no. 9, via pin 8. Its on renlist titled "Improved Clutch Action Dramatically"

I have C4S and PSC. So to launch it correctly, I have to quick release at 3.2k and the tires will spin up a little. Otherwise, engine will bog.
