Unhappy Hit & Run in the OC

So waiting for my food at the best little Italian restaurant in town at lunch today when the owner asked if I had a Porsche...

Turns out someone backed into my car... nice smack just before the rear wheel on passenger door.

At least some little old lady managed to get the license plate before the perp took off... and the owners are trying to burn me a disc of the security tape.

The damage is probably minor, but still enough to ruin my day.
panel is bent in a bit, and paint scraped off (I will post a picture later)....

my question to the board:

What OC, CA shop is hands down the best for dealing with this?

Also, how can I say this... what shop might be willing to work with me on things?
it would be great to get the front repainted due to rock chips etc...
of course, I would rather have the best shop over one that can fudge the insurance blah.
thanks

Talk to Joe or Ray at Sterling Collision Center in Tustin if you want it done right. Especially if you've got a tough color to match.

Thanks for the tip on the shop. and the words...

The image does not do justice... it is bent in pretty good.
If you look, at about TDC on the tire, it is scuffed as if that got hit too.
With the way it is curved there, not sure it would ever be just right.
Also worried the wheel (or even worse) is tweaked at all.

Oh well. I have the plate... told the cops.

I just hope not some little old lady did it without even knowing...
hope it is some ***** driving some fancy german car... ...make those guys pay up

I would personally recommend Bell's Auto Body in Costa Mesa. Speak to Ryan Bell, tell him Justin sent you. Ryan went on the 6speed run with everyone this past feb. They mainly do Ferraris, Lambos, Porsches, and are the only Authorized Ferrari Body shop on the west coast. I take all my cars to them. Great people, professional, and take care of your car with the utmost respect. Good luck and hope you catch the bastard.

Can't runaway from the LAW!!!

Sorry to read about your damage. Everything can be fixed, but I hope to goodness they catch the jerk (sorry for my language) and hold him/her responsible 100%. It shouldn't be a crime to own nice cars!

well, got a video of the incident. I would post it, but not very exciting and requires some odd codec be installed.
will definetly be contacting Bell's Auto Body- only Ferrari authorized on West Coast is all they need on their resume. thx

I am still concerned that in addition to the body panel, that the wheel was hit... so what damage could that do?
bend the wheel?
damage to what the wheel connects to?

through the weekend I hear a light chirping sound... maybe like a cricket noise.. I only hear it when slowly going from a stop. what could that be???

Sorry to hear man...I hate that ****..I came out lunch today and some butthole had his car parked up under the rear of my wife's denali.. Ruined the hitch cover! Man..I'm starting to hate the city! Burbs here I come! I never thought I'd say that until I had my kids..
Anyway, I was tempted to key the damn thing but I held back... The worst part about it is that they left it parked that way!!! I left a nasty note stating that I reported it to the police and that they should call me with their insurance info to settle up... Who knows??

Also, The Brittney comment was way to funny!!
