Greetings from Minnesota--2003 996 C4S

Greetings! Finally got around to buying a car I have wanted since I was a kid--a 911. To be more accurate, a 2003 996 C4S with about 22K on it.
I liked the drive and my wife liked the interior!

Attached are a couple of photos, if I do the links correct . . . (my first post)

Also awaiting the proper temp are a set of BBS LMs with Blizzaks to get me through our Minnesota winter. (My last winter car was a Audi tt quatro)

Just one question for your experts. Planning on new wheels next spring--if the photos work out, any suggestions? Chrome or black? Have been playing around at TireRack "trying on" different options. Oz Supperlegera IIIs look good in silver or black center, also the BBS options look interesting . . .

Back with more questions later, but congrats on a great site!

Cool, My parents are pretty active in the club and if you have been to BIR with Nord Stern, you have seen my father driving his silver 996 GT2 up there. See you at First Fling (once the snow melts )

Congrats! Jon! You've got a beautiful p-car!

The rim color is pure preference. To me, it's more of a personality thing. My hubby just had 19" hyper silver deep dish rims w/ a chrome polished lip on his, but then decided to go to black in a 5 spoke deep dish with a 4" polished chrome lip. Honestly, on his black 996, I MUCH prefer the black. It gives it more of a bad *** look and more of a race car/track car look. But, you can go to websites like tirerack and see what rims look like on your car before you buy them! It's a nice option!

Congrats again!

Jody

My friend Jeff has a yellow with black stripes Ford GT in Stillwater but I don't think he drives it.

Welcome Jon. Great to have you with us.

I have a set of mint OZ Superleggera 3s off my C4S available. custom fitment to widebody 996s (19x12 in the rear). LMs are nice as well, but they don't fit nearly as well as the OZs I have.

I would go with silver, OZ. The black would get lost with the red wich is a beautiful color. I beleive the silver will enhance the red more than black.... Welcome to the 6 crack addiction!
