FS: Fabspeed Bypass Pipes
I agree with the others, w/o baffling, the full muffler bypass approach is not tolerable for a daily driver or any extend highway use. I wouldn't even accept this as a weekend warrior. With functioning baffles you still need to be in the die-hard camp to tolerate the volume.
Anyone looking to buy the MUFFLER bypass pipes but unsure about how pissed the wife will be when she hears how loud your pcar is can simply drive the car up on some 2x4's (to get the clearance), unhook the two bolts and clamps for each muffler, take your beater and go to PepBoys, spend $14 on two elboe pipes, clamp them in and under an hour you can get a feel for the bypass setup. Drive around the block and watch the reactions. My wife wanted to strangle me which made me love the noise even more. I call BS on whoever said they are "quiet until you jump on it". THey are obmoxious, but get the attention you want. Everyone around you wants to know wtf you have under the hood. Personally, it was the best part about the pcar.
LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT. Buy these from this guy.

I had these on my car for one miserable month. I would get thumbs up from cars next to me (one guy rolled down the window and said it was the best sounding Porsche he had ever heard) and it did sound fantastic outside the car. Inside it was horrible. My wife, rightfully so, said the car sounded like a Toyota pickup.
If you want to totally ruin the pleasure of a nice cruise in your 996, put these on your car. You'll remove them a month later and love the stock system.

too old
Im the 2nd owner of these-- Ill have pictures tonight
I put them on last august and drove maybe 1k miles on them--yes 1000 -its sad I just dont drive my car enough (7900 on 3.5 yrs old)
Have clamps and will ship to continental US.
Fitment is 996 narrow bodied cars.
Installation is a piece of cake-maybe an hour -ive done it 3 times.
Asking $300 shipped or im in the NYC metro area.
Your car will sound like a GT Cup car.
Warning -- These are loud as there is no muffler on your car and they save weight --for whats thats worth as i could stand to lose 30 or so pounds so it would be a wash in savings)
check www.fabspeed.com for more details.
Thanks
Mike
