Question to those with Carnewal Pedals...

Just had the Ruf look-a-like pedals from Carnewal installed. Looks great but have a couple questions.

Since the new pedals are now longer as well as more curved than the original plastic pedals, have any of you had a harder time engaging the clutch? It seems that when I engage the clutch now (where you hear the clicking noise), I need to really use more force and the bottom of the pedal (where it is curved) is really digging into the back of the floorboard. Any of you other guys experience this? If so, is there a remedy for it? I dont want to make a hole in the floorboard after driving it for a while.

And the next question I have might be stupid. I have always believed, and practiced, when shifting gears to always depress the clutch until i hear the clicking sound before I enter or go out of a gear. I have heard a few people say that that is not necessary when shifting and that I only need to depress the clutch and hear the clicking sound for starting the engine??

Sorry for the long post. I appreciate any feedback!

Thanks!

It sounds like you may have installed the clutch pedal too low on the original pedal. I installed mine so that the top of the original clutch (and brake) pedal are even with the center of the 2 top rubber dots on the Carnewal pedals.

Be sure the floormat isn't pushed up toward the top. Mine does that too. However when I pull the floormat down to the proper position it stops. Actually, I thinks it's the screw that is too long and I have considered cutting it shorter or replacing it. Good luck.
