No, with the B&M kit installed you would have to order a new shifter assembly from Porsche. If you go with the Porsche branded SSK kit it comes with all the parts so you can simply swap it out. I haven't priced out the difference between buying a Porsche kit vs. buying a B&M kit + a replacement shifter assembly if you care to remove it at a later date. I'm my experience though, you will not want to take out the B&M ever, it's that good.

Here is what you would have to replace to revert back to stock from the B&M shifter. Marked with a red 1 ~$170.

Here is a pic of the Porsche piece. It comes already installed into the black plastic box that you see it in here. The B&M comes alone as you have probably seen it pictured elsewhere. The install is to cut out the OEM shifter plastic bushings to replace with the B&M unit.

Oh also, Porsche is about $499 (although I heard discounted at some places) and B&M is $199.

Another vote here for the B&M. Much shorter throw. It is a little notchy when the car is cold, but once the car warms up, this issue seems resloved. Much better feel than the stock shifter.

Agree with all the others on B&M if you are going to go this route. I prefer mine to the stock shifter, but it does get notchy at times....some really don't like this aspect. Also, +1 on picking it up from Bumperplugs.

I can see the overwhelming support for B&M SSK. I thought I was the only one.

Is the B&M SSK the same feel as on a 07 997? With the SSK option?

Damn, I was on the fence about this one but looks like I'll have to go ahead and order it. The stock one is about 20% too long in my opinion.

I got my SSK from bumperplugs already! It's installed and OMG!!! If you don't have this thing already - BUY IT!!!

I wish I would have gotten the shift linkage as well, mine looks like it's seen hell. Oh well, another day another dollar.
