I think you can run up to 21mm on a nb car, but you will be at razors edge and may need to dial in some neg camber. I have 15mm on all corners and could easily go 18mm on rear. Using HR spacers and longer lugs from automotion.com (best price).
Alignment is to GT3 street specs.

The H&R TRAK ones are the best. They're hubcentric and come with longer bolts. The spacers that have studs built in (from other makers) are going to be heavier due to the weight of the studs. In addition, if you went go with aftermarket rims, those spacers w/studs may not work with your non-oem rims. They didn't work for my Volks. 15mm all around will make a world of difference in both looks and handling with your oem rims.

On another note, I believe the stock oem my02 5 spokes were 8" for the front front and were not available in 8.5".

Lots of superb documented 15mm spacer footage on NB 996 OEM 18's; anyone gone more than 15mm+ on NB for street rims with picts? Please share...

hit up adybuncio for pics. Guess he has some 11.5" rims shoved under his nb 996. Now that's a tight fit I'd like to see!
