Fabspeed Rocks!!!

Purchased some mufflers for my car about three months ago from Fabspeed. Put them on along with a CAI from Evoms at the same time. Drove the car for awhile hoping the exhaust tone would get a louder but never did. Somewhat disappointed sent Fabspeed a couple e-mails and told them the situation.

Next thing I know the VP of the company calls me, confirms my address, and apologizes for the delay in helping me and for the faulty product. We talk for a bit and decides to send me some new mufflers, and a free t-shift and hat for the inconvienience. The only PITA was finding the time to r&r the mufflers.

So I finished the job, fired it up, and immediately noticed a tone difference. It sounds AWESOME, the way it should. So I packed up my old mufflers and put them in the pre-paid Fed-ex box to return to them.

The reason I'm writing this is for two reasons. One is for the excellence in customer service. Two is for standing behind a quality product. They have certainly made me a lifelong customer and just wanted to pass this along to everyone.

Thanks for sharing, good to see some companies still taking care or their customers. Sound bite perhaps?

The first set of mufflers was literally no different than stock. The new set they sent me is throaty and vicious, just the way I want it.

Well, I thought I was the only one with Fabspeed that sound no better than stock. I even posted a thread here how I hate my Fabspeed exhaust. Now, I can call them up and ask them to exchange for the loud version.

Like I say, the difference from the first set and the second set was night and day. The new tone puts a on my face now.

Great story -
But what is the difference between the 2 sets? Are they different part numbers?

The only thing I can say is that the VP admitted to me that the fabricators may have made a mistake when making that first set of mufflers. Whether it was too much baffling inside, I'll never know. The cool part is that he admitted the fault and quickly corrected it, no questions asked. Thats what I call honesty and integrity.

The only difference (no parts #'s on the outside) was the badging was located on a different spot on the outside and the text was different as well.
