Does GT3 bumper = better hanlding at speed?

I was at the rally in MD last weekend and on one of the straightaways I got to about 110. The steering felt kind of floaty. I've noticed it before when travelling 90+. First, is that normal? Second would the GT3 bumper provide additional downdraft up front and keep the car more stable?

Put a lip under your existing bumper to reduce air under the car and reduce lift.

Putting a lip on could be problematic. The car is lowered and I already have scraping issues, mostly from my driveway. If I put a lip on I'd have to consider rasing the car.

Suepnsion should have helped the "floaty" feeling, A GT3 lip/bumper needs the rear spoiler for proper aerodynamics.

I thought it was OK to add the bumper without the spoiler but not OK to add the spoiler without the bumper.

Well, if your car is as it looks in your avitar, it sure looks like you have alot of room between the road and the bottom of the bumper. What's the height of the bumper from the road? Get it down to 6 inches or less using a splitter that will divert the air around the car and not under it.

Just measured. You're right there's more room than I thought. It's 6.25". Jstrat85, I need lot's of things. But I have to do it all in stages or the bride will have my head

How was it lowered? That could be the issue.....springs alone? If so maybe your shocks are worn.....you can always do a TT bumper with C4S lip...no rear wing needed.

PSS9's. When I get a new bumper it will be the GT3 MKII like my side skirts. Then the spoiler sometime after that. See post above re: death by bride.

Could also be your alignment....but its probably more air under your car than you want..a GT3 bumper will fix that right up.

If you get the GT3 bumper and NOT the corresponding lip, the new bumper will give you no more stability than what you have now. The lip is the key, even more so than the height of the bumper.

Thats hard to believe since the lip is what 1/4" and the bumper itself has more frontal area, which reduced the amount of air under the car and increases the downforce on the front.

First of all, the center of the lip is considerably more than 1/4 inch and the purpose and functiion of the lip is NOT to hold the front end down but to divert the air enough so the front end is not lifted. It is always better to reduce the cause of lift rather than provide downforce to offset the lift. One robs you of speed while the other does not.

When I lowered my 2003 C2 with H&R coliovers that thing was glued to the road have the suspension checked , alignment redone and possibly lower the ride height.
