Seems like you got all the right help.
I wouldn't re-spool/re-wind the motor. Although it may save you a few dollars, in my opinion/experience those dollars will be needed again when it likely goes a second time. Your idea of picking up one second hand is by far the better of the budget options.

well they reqound it for free, they said that it will prob only last a year because part of it is fairly worn, which is why they didnt charge me......

ill see how long it last and maybe get a junkyard one from that place when it brakes, thanks all, i may have put this one off a while for free!
