I recently purchased my first Porsche and like it enough to sell my M5 and M3. It is a 2000 Millennium 911, with Fabspeed headers, mufflers, and flash. I recently added the RSS intake that I purchased through a group buy. Don't know if it added hp but the car accelerates through the gears very smoothly and doesn't feel winded at all above 6000 RPM. A couple of months after I got the car I took it to the Tail of the Dragon, 318 curves in 11 miles in the Tennessee mountains. After about 6 passes both ways and some other mountain roads I was starting to gain confidence with the car and transmission. My fastest times on the dragon are still in my old M3 but with more practice with the porsche I will beat those times. This is a C4 and I really love the way the front will drag the rear end through tight corners. When the rear starts to get loose (hit gravel in a tight corner) just add throttle.
This is a tip and while I miss my clutch you can really work the transmission on a tight road. On the dragon I was changing from 2nd to 3rd and back to 2nd often in a gear for no more than 10-30 seconds. My friends would get tired of all the rapid gear changes and just leave their transmissions in 2nd. Just think 318 curves and 200-400 gear changes in 11 miles... turn around and take the return pass. Repeat 5 more times and you are exhausted.
