Battery Died
Battery Died
Forgot to plug in my maintainer and the car sat for a couple of weeks. I kept planning on taking it out but the weather and my job wouldn't cooperate. This morning I tried to start it up and all I got was, "click, click, click"
Radio was still working but the clock had reset, spoiler went up and the driver's side window went down. Tried to jump it but couldn't get it to turn over, which was surprising.
Have a fairly new (2 y.o.) duralast battery in there, just curious as to why it wouldn't turn over after trying to jump start it.
Does it pay to buy a charger?

When my battery died on my '02, I called Triple A. He told me that a Porsche is a tough car to jump start. There is a secondary battery connection point directly on the engine. He put one charger on the battery and second charger on the engine, with the negative attached to the engine latch. After he let them sit for a few minutes, he was able to transfer enough charge to turn the battery over. Before callng them, I had tried jumping from my wife's car - not even a glimmer of a start.
