Yep, did this on my 1999 911 C2.... used the 3000k HID kit and it was in a litronics housing. It was mostly plug and play except for running the wires out of the headlight housing and mounting the ballast. For mine I ended up just notching the removable plug for the fog light bulb... what I did was remove the rubber o-ring seal completely and then cut a small U shaped notch in the side of the plug to allow both the HID bulb wires and the factory Foglight harness wires to come out of the headlight housing. I then fed the wires through the o-ring seal and installed the seal back on the plug. Once the HID foglight bulb was installed I then inserted the plug back into the housing with both sets of wires now coming out. I mounted the ballast to the inner side of the fender out of the way of the headlight housing itself but close to where the foglight plug is on the housing so the wires would reach. My kit uses the factory foglight harness connector for power so no special wiring was needed. The trick is to mount the headlight partially in the fender so you can connect the HID wiring (both sets) and then install the headlight the rest of the way into the fender being careful not to bunch up the wires. Once its in you are good to go... but remember if you need to remove the headlight again to only take it part way out at first so you can disconnect the foglight wiring prior to full removal. It was not that hard for me to do and takes less than an hour although I have done HID kits in the past.

Sorry, only have a daytime track pic to show you...

Reborn,

So how did you connect the HID wiring to get power? The OEM H3 wiring is inside the housing itself. That what I want to know.

Sheesh, the things I do for my fellow 6speeders!!! Okay, since I had to install my new LED city lights tonight I took the opportunity to take more pics of my install. As mentioned in my first post the wiring from the headlight housing is routed through the plug for the foglight bulb. You can see this in the pics, both the HID bulb wiring and the factory Foglight wiring go through the plug. Since the HID kit was plug and play it uses the factory foglight harness to get power. The pics below should tell the story... let me know if you have more questions... David
