Driving in the Rain? Yes/No??
These cars are meant to be driven...in all conditions.
I drive mine in the rain, snow, sleet etc...
My question for the guys that don't drive in the rain or snow; what are you saving it for, the next owner?
Cheers,
Stan

I guess you intend to keep it forever. I see you live in Washington state, your car must still be in the break in period seeing as you don't drive in the rain.
I live in Washington State, have 55k on my Porsche, daily driver in all weather, and never one problem with the car. Drives like a dream and has never let me down! Paint and car still looks like new. Just requires care and maintenance.
Safety wise....it's a no-brainer, it can be driven hard. Protection wise, just make sure you have a good wax protecting it and all it takes is a nice wash and she's all clean again. There's really not much harm from the rain unless your paint isn't protected; if not properly waxed and protected, you run the risk of acid rain etching, water spotting when the sun dries the water spots, etc.

It all dpends on the "looK" you're after, time you want to spend, and $$. Syn thetics have a more gloss and shine; I like einszette. Natural carnaubas have greater depth and clarity and a more soft glow than a blinding shine; I like Zymol for that. Cost-wise, zymo is more expensive because of its high quality and you don't use as much product. A typical jar will do about 50 applications and you only have to apply 2-4 times per year depending on the wax you choose. PM me if you'd like more info and pricing.
Nope.
My Dad leaves his 996 in the garage even if it's gloomy looking outside.
I don't drive my 986 S in the rain either.....I lost my first 986 that way....sucked. Just switched freeways and lost it,wasn't driving hard or anything.
