The Autozone Duralast 48-DL is the correct size and fits perfectly!

I started using optima reds and now yellow tops in all my cars years ago and have been very happy with my decision. My 911 still has the factory battery and I check the water every quarter. When it finally dies I will replace it with a yellow top as they work best in our weekend drivers. Stop by autozone or costco and check them out. By the way I am averaging 8 to 10 years use from these and never got more than 3 to 4 out of a conventional battery.

I'm proactive about replacing my battery every 2-3 years. They just seem to die out if they spend most of their time on a battery maintainer.

I just want to say that my battery died a few months ago and I picked one up at walmart for $40. It works great, and it's much lighter than the OEM battery.

That's what I don't understand. Porsche's definition of "maintainer" must be different than ours.

at 40 bucks way cheaper than $275 GMG adapter. of course, it may be a get-what-you-pay-for situation.

All car batteries use hydrochloric acid.

optimas are gel and totally sealed.

the optimas are not an exact fit. so, you need an adapter to secure them. die hards and duralast come in correct size.
