Did not say they didn't. I am a 40 year skier. Was looking for open minds. Amazing how uptight the LA ski community is.

I started snowboarding 10 years ago and never went back to skiing. I am getting ready to head out to Park City in 2 weeks with only my board. To each there own. I wouldn't go back to skiing.

I started three years ago. I'm still learning as I don't get to go very often. I have no interest in skiing anymore. Not to mention the snowboarding boots are way more comfortable than ski boots.

I just came back from Mammoth. Eagle run is kind of icy, you might have better luck going east.

How many of you wear helments while snowboarding and listen to their MP3 players? Are those integrated helments with Audio/bluetooth any good?

I always wear a helmet, (wacked my head before) but no blue tooth. I am not sure if I want music or not while boarding.

Music and boarding is a must. It definitely adds another side to the ride.

Nothing like a trusty ipod shuffle to add some background music to the session.

Started with skis, but now a boarder, been doing it since I was 9. Love the speed and big air, but my body know doesn't agree with my head when I want to go to the park. Dont wear a helmet. Depends on where you go, some places people are very respectful some place Id love to give an elbow to some of the people coming down the slopes fast and not telling you which side they are approaching you.

When I was out in New York, I broke one guy's nose for almost clipping me and going over my board.

Both depends on the company I'm with.

If with people that are slow and prefer the peacful pace (AKA suck @ anything phisical) I take the ski's as I have alot of trouble holding myself back on a board.

If their fast like big air and somewhat athletic (my style) I'm only too happy to jump on the board.
