Anyone know of a professional service that can repair minor paint damage, i.e. stone chips that is in the New Jersey area? I got nailed right in the middle of the hood.

Is it that bad that you won't do it yourself? Where you be?

It's small, but I have a knack for F'ing things up.

The chip is about 1/4 inch long in the center of the hood. I am in East Brunswick. My car is 3 months old. I know I won't do a good job, and would prefer someome with experience.

Didn't your mother teach you to stay inside the lines? That's all ya have to do, try using a tooth pick and fill without overlapping onto the good paint. If it's deep let the first coat dry for a day then repeat. Just don't use too much paint as to overflow the mark. It's really not that hard so get your feet wet. Don't use the little applicator brush, it's too big. And don't put alot of paint on the tooth pick.

Go to an art store and buy a very fine brush to fill in the scratch. The one that comes with the paint is much too large. Once you fill in the are, let it dray and have it professionaly detailed. They'll bupp the are nice and smoth. You won'ty be able to tell.
