Sport Exhaust
Sport Exhaust
hi, i know this is a topic that has been covered endlessly but how much is sport exhaust for a '02 cab for either the option with or without the switch? looking to upgrade the sound....
Sam,
There are many sport exhaust options for your car. One is the Porsche PSE which is what you're asking about based on the switch comment.
If the switch from regular to sport is important to you then the PSE is your only option and expect to spend approximately $2k give or take. If the switch isn't important then you can modify your existing cans the same way that the factory does to create the PSE. If you go to rennlist you'll find detailed instructions and pictures. That option will cost you approximately $150.
I opted for GHL's on my '02 c2 Cab and I'm very happy. Had I known about the PSE hack I probably would have gone that route first.
You can also go the fabspeed route, and if you want to spend more you can go for Tubi which I understand sounds great!
Bottom line do something, the stock set up is too quiet!
Good luck.

I bought a used C4S. The previous owner had already installed the PSE. Sounds nice. The switch was helpful once, when I was being tailed by a state trooper. However, if I had a stock exhaust, and wanted to upgrade, I would have done the Fabspeed. Loud pipes saves lives!!!
hi stan, thank you for the info! i totally agree stock is too quiet...
as for the exhaust, with or without switch doesn't matter to me at all. i just mentioned bc i remembered that was an option...
i'll def check out rennlist and the other brands you mentioned!
