Porsche at Chicago Auto Show

I was at the show today, and have to say... the Porsche booth just wasn't that impressive. There was no GT2 or GT3, of course no Carrera GT... I was kind of disappointed. Of course, Maserati and Lambo didn't even show up this year. They did, however, have some nice free posters! "What good is a philosophy if it doesn't make your heart race?" Black GT3 on the front, RS Spyder and other models on the back.

Chicago Auto Show:

Awwww what a disapointment, no extra nice Porsche display. I was thinking of going this year too.

Better luck next year.

Which is always fun! A few non-p-car observations:
  • The concept Caddy CTS coupe looks nice. I assume they'll fix the back before production.
  • The little YES! coupe will be another track car comparable to a Lotus Ex. Very light, good power.
  • The Nissan GTR looks really mean in person. (But, ponder me this... How can a car that is heavier with -20HP compared to a Z06 put up better acceleration numbers? I know it has awd, but that just doesn't add up.)
  • The Hyundai sedan that will compete with Mercedes... NOT!
  • The rear spoiler on the Challenger looks like it was sourced from, and installed by, Pep Boys.
  • Jaguar still uses too many Ford parts.
  • Ugh - enough w/ the Hybrids already... Just make the cars lighter.
  • Let me get this straight... I can sit in a Bently, any Porsche, all the BMW M-cars, but not the Lancer Evo? Really? Seriously. They wouldn't unlock the door. (And not the R8 either?)
