Arrow Replacing CATS 200/v.s 300cell

I am in the middle of getting AWE Cats. After speaking to the tech guy ,he advise that on a 996 model you can only use 300 cell cats. However i have been reading a few postings here and some folks are using 300 cell?
I'm just trying to get clarification what in fact can & cant be used & what are the advantages/disadvantages of going 200/300 .
Thanksssssssssssssssssssssss!

I thought that the stock cats were 200 cell cats. The aftermarket cats I put on my car were 100 cell cats, and I have never had a CEL.

think of your cats as a honey comb through which exhaust gasses get squeezed. the higher the cell number the denser the honey comb the less exhaust can flow through for a given back pressure. so, 100 cell cats flow a lot more exhaust than 400 cell cats. (and get check engine lights. )

What has stopped me from getting 200 cell cats is concern over cel and loudness...I like my PSE sound and don't want to change it.....but a little more power is a good thing ...decisions...decisions...decisions....

I wont say huge, but it does put a smile on my face every time i drive it.The cats are where you gain the power in the exhaust. The car feels better in every way.Its an improvement you can actually feel and i would 100% do it again.Just remember that when you replace the cats and mufflers your removing a lot of backpressure. The combination of the 2 might cost you some lowend torque.
