Thanks, they are both low and one is lower than the other...not really an issue in the city where I live but if I'm on a back road I'm sure I'll need to see more of the road. I'll run by the parts store and pick one up. Thanks again.

thanks to POrsche3..... got the headlights raised up and feel a whole lot safer in low beam. really, I think the factory setting had been too low, or the lights had been adjusted incorrectly before I got the car. It just felt spooky on forest roads on low beam. You were right about the long hex wrench, and it is 5mm. the owner's manual had it reversed though, it's clockwise to raise...must have been lost in translation I guess. thanks again, jl

Just found this thread after wasting 30 mines trying to raise my low beams. The manual doesn't say anything about any tool needed to raise it and I was in the "b" hole with the tool that pops the headlights out trying to figure out why it wouldn't attach... Just wanted to confirm that the 5mm hex should be the same for my 997 turbo?

Here's a video on how to remove the lights. I had to adjust my headlights a month ago. It seems the previous owner didn't drive at night after he lowered the car. I found it easier to remove the lights and make the adjustment then. I just followed the instructions in the manual for the adjustment. It is pretty sensitive so don't adjust one mark at a time. I'd go in between to start then drive them to test it.

GOOD idea on removing the headlights if I can't find a long hex 5mm.

thanks
