Headlights too low after lowering car, any fix?

My C2 sits about an inch or so lower with the new suspension installed- Headlights are now pointing way too low to be effective, and i'm not quite sure how to correct it. Anyone else have this prob?

btw I found this thread on the subject, but not much response if headlight aim is in fact adjustable.

I'm off to see if there is some sort of adjuster on the back of the lights...

996 how to adjust headlights

Yep, was just doing that... it's on pages 233-234. Big RTFM for me...

Anyone know what the correct beam height should be at 25ft from wall? That is not specified in the manual.
If anyone has a height adjustment guideline or tip they can share I'd appreciate it.

[edit] I attached a pdf printout of pages 233-234 from the 996 owners manual.

KW Variant III coilovers. Frigging awesome. I can't say enough good things about them.

The 996 version has an outboard gas reservoir on the bottom of the shock body. They look pretty wicked and the build quality is impressive. No 'shock noise', squeaks, chirps or anything after 5k miles, and the ride quality has not changed at all over time.
Bought mine from Dan at vivid racing.

According to the instructions that you posted, the horizontal cutoff is 5 cm (about 2 inches) below the centerline of the headlight lens at 7.5 M (I had to read the instructions twice before I caught that). That works out to 0.4 degrees of downward aim. The headlight lens that the procedure refers to is the litronic lens (dashed line in the left hand picture on the first page). That said, if you lowered the car the same amount front and rear, no headlight adjustment would be necessary.

I just install some yellow fog lights and notice that one side headlight was tighten all the way, making one lower than the other. Check the headlight bolts while you are at it.

I'd like to raise the headlights on my C4S, and the manual says to remove the two side plastic screws to get to the headlight adjusters. but the "carpet" is attached way below that. any tips on getting it out easily, or is this something I should have done by a pro? best to all......

This should be pretty easy. Once you unscrew the carpet screw per side, gently pull off the front part of your trunk rubber seal. Carpet should just fold away from the top and will also swing forward a bit once you pop out the rear edge from the side plastics. No need to completely remove the carpet.

yes there is, but it has a limited range. you first need to set the mechanical level if you've done something drastic like lower the car.

Anyone know where to get the hex key for that or what size it is? I can't seem to find mine and my lights are low too.

I think it's a 5mm hex. Go to the local auto parts or hardware store and pick up a cheap set of long hex wrenches (I don't think you can buy just one). And I do mean LONG hex wrenches, about 6" or 7" long.
