Cargraphic Export Exhaust Review

First off, Hershel and the people over at Cargraphic are a pleasure to do business with.

The exhaust arrived quickly as promised. It was delivered within three days of placing the order.

It was packed in a large sturdy box, loaded with tons of shredded newspaper surrounding the cans. The intake and exhaust portions of the can were taped off to prevent any of the packing material from getting inside.

The cans are full stainless steel. It's not polished, but then again who needs it since you can't see it, or get to it once in a while to keep it polished. I never understood the point of polishing cans you can't see. They'll just tarnish over in time anyway if you don't continue to clean and polish them.

The fit and finish on the cans was excellent. The welds and seams looked very good. The brackets mounted effortlessly and it slid into the stock location on to the headers with no problems at all. It is slightly different than stock in that it has two swivel joints coming out the exhaust portion of the cans. I guess it gives you greater adjustability over the tip location. It goes like this:
Solid tubing coming out of the exhaust
Piece of cargraphic tubing with swivel joints on either end
The stock tubing with the swivel joint at the top
And finally the tip connects to the bottom of the stock tubing.

I am having a bit of a problem getting the stock tip back on to the last piece of stock tubing, but that has nothing to do with the Cargraphic exhaust. I had the tips powdercoated sating black and for whatever reason, they won't slide back on. Looks like the stock tubing where the tip is suppposed to slide on is slightly misshaped. I know I can bang them on with a rubber mallet, but I don't want to damage the powdercoating job.

And now you're saying....enough of the description already...what's it sound like???

All I can say is that I'm absolutely thrilled. I've had the opportunity to hear a lot of different exhausts for the NA cars recently, and they all have thier own positive attributes. I know exhausts are very subjective, but this thing really sounds amazing. Completely different that stock. Definately more agressive and about 20% louder. I liken it to the Techart turbo exhaust. Not quite as loud, but a similar tone. You may say I'm biased, but I was fully prepared to return it if I didn't like it and move on to the next one until I found one that I liked. I couldn't be any happier. I'd put in the category of the PSE tone with the Fabspeed volume. I took the wife for a ride today and she wasn't totally annoyed with it Huge bonus there. Pricing is very reasonable. It prices out somewhere in the middle between the Fabspeed and PSE.

I didn't bother with pics, because....they're just mufflers. They all kind of look the same. Any questions, feel free to ask.
