I have a 2002 4S and would like to install illuminated door sills. Spoke with the dealer and he gave me something like a cost of $450, which sounds about right from a dealer. I've looked all over the Internet to see if I could get a hold of them, but only came up with someone selling them on Ebay for $50, which brings about some skepticism.

Has anyone recently installed them and would you recommend that I do it myself? If so, where should I look?

who makes the part you are talking about? I do not think the factory does....Only ones I have seen are Techart and they are over $800 a pair

Well, I know that the Cayenne model has the illuminated door sill option. Perhaps the part is compatible...
