Replacing 996 C2 Fogs

Has anyone upgraded their fogs to HID's? I upgraded my lows to hids and they work great (took a little bit of modification). Now I never use my fogs because the color is way off from the 6000K lows and the fogs look yellow.

daytrader is infamous around these parts
Yes, you can do the same with HID H3 conversion. Kit can be purschase on Ebay. It works pretty much the same way. Adaptor is similar to OEM. Wiring and ballasts need to locate near the headlight. Can be strap down or velcro inside fender.

But remember, the HID H3 on foglight is very bright. Can easily blind incoming traffic or some one in front of you will be very upset.

I have done this on my 1999... I believe I even posted pics of the install in an old thread. As for blinding... not really, just make sure your headlights are aimed correctly. Definately gives a nice look to the low beam HID's. I used a 3000k bulb to get better visibility in fog conditions and it seems to work well.

Here are some pics of the install I was able to find...
