Call Michael Armenteros at the Collection, tell him Joel Pirela (Speed Yellow Carrera) sent you. He will take care of you. I've went without an appointment on a friday for a PPI and they did it in 1.5 HRS. Cost $300 and they even change the oil and filter!
Michael's number is: 305-476-4025.
I hope everything works out for you.

regards,

joel pirela

I would run from that guy. +1 on the economy giving you tons of opportunity with credible sellers. Financial desparation is probably something that's happened over time - so I would guess that he hasn't done right by the Porsche (speculation, I know).

Besides, you'll probably have lots of choices closer to home. TN has a great PCA chapter up in Memphis - that's only a 5 hr drive from you. I used to live in Madisonville and moved to Memphis after Katrina.

Good luck!

I agree with the posts above. This is a fairly large investment to begin with, so don't rush it. If you do, you may have many more payments coming your way in the form of repairs and/or replacement of major parts. You never know. Go with a person who is fully honest, doesn't play games, is willing to let you do a PPI, and will disclose the car's entire history. At the end of the day, it could be you who is stuck with a lemon.

Me neither s4e. If I have my way, I will be selling the asanti wheels and replacing them with somehting black.

That being said, it is obvious that I bought the car. I left my house 430 am saturday morning by airplane to miami, and pulled into the driveway at 330 sunday morning. It was a nice journey. The car is great. Loud, harsh, rough, and low, but drives like a bat out of hell compared to my 2.7 boxster. I will be popping up with questions about the mods on the car so I can identify the brands.

Congrats and glad it worked out for you, I'm sure you were all smiles on the drive home. Does it feel a bit like Christmas now? LOL

I'd run from this deal as well. One thing I've learned is that you need to go with your gut. You've made the calls and have dealt with him personally already. If you have a bad feeling moving forward with this then don't do it. Based on your post, I'd say your gut feeling is right.

So, I hope you enjoy the car without reservation now. By the way, I once took my Porsche Boxster S to the dealership in Metairie. Big mistake. No expert technicians and not too concerned about the quality of service - probably b/c life hasn't been the same since the hurricane. Good luck.

NO kidding roto, if the ONE mechanic at the Metairie store is on vacation, your car will sit for weeks just to have an oil change.

It's like everything else in the "big easy," poor customer service and filthy.
