Has anyone on the right coast done a track day at Watkins Glen? Have done Limerock (boring) and New Hampshire. Both at 1.5 miles. I am barely into fourth gear at Limerock and max at third at New Hampshire. I am running an 01 996 C2 and would like to get into at least 5th gear.
Also traveling from Boston.

I have done the Glen many times. It is one of the best racks on the east coast. It's a great mix of tight turns, wide turns, chicanes, long straights. You won't be disappointed. Check out Reisentoter, Schattenbaum and Northern New Jersey PCA websites for dates.

 

Watkins is an amazing track, super smooth, wide and plenty fast. I've only been once and would love to have another go sometime. A proper instructor in the passenger seat yelling "go, go, go" makes it that much more fun

 

The first time at NHIS, the instructor all but called me a *****. The second time i kept the revs at or above 5k and it was much more fun.
