my baby

After almost 4 years of ownership (2 weeks from now) and 8300 miles the car still puts a grin on my face. Heres after 90 mins of a much needed wash and wax. Not a swirl mark on the paint as I have washed the car by hand each time and never a car wash.
The bad news is Im considering selling for a all in one wonder --sports car/family sedan beast--- M5
But each time I drive this car I cant let it go

Mike

Nice looking car. I wish the owner of mine hand washed it every time. Going to devote a day of washing, clay bar, polishing, sealing, and waxing. Then mine might shine like yours.

nice pcar- sorry to hear you're letting it go.

Why not get a Cayenne Turbo instead of the M5?

Keep it...I'm getting hitched in July and will NOT sell the Pcar! If kids come into the equation down the road I'm still keeping it. This is my plan, but I hope it doesn't change.

My wife has supported my Porsche habit for years. However, wherever we have lived (and we've moved 5 times for my company), I have been one of only a handful of guys in my neighborhood or company office who has a sports car. Most of the guys want one, but they feel it's too impractical to have one. They always ask what I did to convince my wife to support my desire to have a Porsche in the garage for fun.

My point is that I'm in agreement with 911c4s. Once you decide it's impractical, you'll forever look back and wonder think, "I remember when I had one of those Porsches."

In fact, I have met at least 3 retired guys at car club events who asked about my 996 and then said that they had one (and miss it) or they always wanted to have one.

Don't regret. Doesn't have to be a Porsche (although I wouldn't buy anything else). Just make it unique.

Bob
