Aston Martin AMV8 Takes on the 997!!
So Aston will line up with AMV8 Vantage, DB9 and Vanquish?
According to Autocar (UK), AMV8 will share the same style of headlight with DB9 on their final production car.

I have seen $100K-$110K in pre release press, but I have also seen 70,000 pounds which at the current conversion rate is $130K. I guess we will have to see what the dealers say when it becomes available. But it won't be priced near a 997 or 997S, more like GT3/Turbo area.
Unfortunately, Release is a year from September
Don't know if I can wait that long. They have a wait list of 30 people at the dealer I called. The nice thing is they won't be a dime a dozen like the 996 is here in South Florida.

You called Tampa right?? He told me under a buck$$ for the 1st AM8, then they'll be a cab version which should be sweet and finally a blown version putting out around 500hp but will be priced north of the TT of which I'm sure wont help it any against it

I have heard anywhere from a 340 hp NA version w/ 500 hp SC version, to a 385 hp regular version. It is a beautiful car, but if it is truly $120K I think that is way too much. I thought is was supposed to be in the $90K range. I guess things are changing. If it was near the price of the 997 that would be a no brainer, but if it is near the price of a 911 TT, I think the 911 TT would be more appealing to me.
