Why is it always said that the 997 is "newly forged" when it's essentialy the same engine? I've seen countless references to "completely redesigned from the ground" up... which is a bunch of BS.

It's because 80% of the parts in the 997 are claimed by the factory to be new. The engine is also a 3.8...

The AM V8 is definitely the better looking car, HANDS DOWN. Let's see if it has the performance to back up those stunning good looks.

What are you talking about? The 997 has the exact same 3.6L engine as the 996. Only the 997S has the extra 35HP. It's obvious that the 997S is the real new 911, but the S is a marketing scheme to get the extra $10k or whatever.

Has anyone heard when the AMV8 will be previewed at U.S. AM dealerships?

OK, you are right. I guess I wasn't paying attention to the regular 997, as I could never picture buying anything so retarded.

Sorry guys, but unless it's got at least 400hp, I can't be bothered.
