I just got a 2002 911 cab with 30k and when I start it for the first time of the day it smokes for the first 10 seconds. Any Ideas?

Do a search on here or Rennlist. This is very normal, and no reason for concern.

 

If it only happened once, don't worry about it. If it happens everytime then I'd look into it.

LOL, this happens to me from time to time..also after a hard run..I thought I blew the engine. hahah But ran it again no problems.

yeah...seen it happen in mine before but was told its just a little oil burning off in those horizontal cylinders

 

Correct, as long as it's just for a few seconds you are fine. If it lasts a minute or two then you need to have it checked out, but just a puff is complete normal and you are just burning off some oil from the valves not fully closing, no reason for concern.

happens every once in a while with mine as well.

 

My friend's brand new GT3RS smoked once in awhile after a hard drive. Mine too! Get use to it now.

 

Mine does that upon cold start up when I set the key on the on position to check the oil level and then start. Very random.
