Weekend Project is on!
Do you honestly think I got this car, and built it the way it was done to figure out how to make money off it. Ben please tell me you are smarter than this
when did I ask you about the cost of product used?
If i am building something around making money it will be in a house. At that point you figure out your point of return and where upgrades will or will not make you money.
BTW: car is not on consingment at Park Place, it never has been
Cars are built for our own enjoyment. Alot of us make them for us to enjoy and other people to enjoy. My car was built for a street toy, but to tear up the track. When it comes down to it my car will outperform your C4S, but it was made that way.

p.s. cars don't create money? damn it! the dealer lied to me again.
how's the mortgage business?

(hp is only 290WHP) and the car weighs less than 3000lbs...so you do the math. I can break 140's at Pacific in street tires at 7/10 and speeds over 143 on the front straight. There are alot of drivers there that are ALOT faster than me and will really push their cars 9/10 if not 10/10 and get some great times. My friend Mark is one of them (I really don't know what your knowledge is of Pacific so do as you wish with that info).
I see you want to try and make this personal... I am simply calling you out on the crap you talk to everyone else. I did nothing to make this a @$#$ contest as you stated...mearly bringing up each point you seem to focus on with other people. Don't hate it when you get called out Ben.
Work with correct information when you want to talk smack about my car. I for one have not said a bad thing about your car or you.
Don't worry Ben, I saw the post you edited. For one, my car has never been to Car Nutz. Joel has not driven my car so he doesn't have ANY info.

as for the car for sale/consignment... i saw what i saw and others did as well unless there's another light yellow 911 out there with race aerobits on FM5s.
and i got nothing personal against you either. you seem to be the choreographer for local drives and that's good on you. as for inferring that i don't seem to understand the economics of the depreciating "asset" that is the mass produced automobile and my desire to make my c4s look like a gt2, yea good on you too. it's ok to want to hit back. i totally predicted it from you.
if you guys are going to banter back and forth for awhile please take it to PM's.
anyways...I agree with the others about the raw/metallic mesh finish. It would look cleaner/more subtle painted satin/flat black. other than that enjoy your ride and enjoy your mods.

Kevin,
First off, your cab looks great. I reallly like the stance and the wheels. I also LOVE your garage and your other rides. You have great taste in cars...and are obv a huge car guy.
I will say that the mesh does "Stick out" a bit to me.....not quite as harsh as Ben descibed but i see where he is going. Perhaps pictures do not do it justice? Or maybe painting it a darker shade or black would look cool? Or maybe you like it that way and then that is all that REALLY matters.
Regardless, the car is HOT...the mods are HOT....and your stable is very nice. Also cool to see you working on your cars and enjoying every second of it.
My only quesiton is, what is next on your list?????
Cheers,
Jon
PS: Bens C4S is hot.....and Bruce, your car is AMAZING as well. Great variety of cars in this thread...and what fun would it be if all our cars looked the same and we all had the same mods?

I love the look. Every, DE, autocross (this weekend), Porsche gathering, I have a steady stream of people commenting on how nice my car looks, more then all the silver TT's and GT3's. The color and mesh grill are always mentioned. A stock C2/4 is boring and plain looking. A stock TT in the same 10 shades of grey isn't much better.

Ben, your new wing looks great, not stock C4S but much sportier looking.

To answer your question, nothing is reallly next on the list, I'm enjoying no car payments to much

I've had the fiberglass on the front bumper for about 5 years with no issues. Of course if someone hits you, its done, but poly can crack as well. They are both repairable.
The lip is a stock C4S lip. The bumper is a TT front bumper from NR Auto. It's made in polyurethane just like a stock bumper. I've had the same look for 4 years now. I just got new wheels and am thinking of putting on a TechArt Type II front bumper and the GTM wing from Misha that B. Choi is talking about. I've always loved that bumper.
I might be putting my front bumper and wing up for sale. It would sure save someone a lot of money since there will no prep time, just respray to your color. The prep time on the bumper cost as much as the bumper. The wing was stock so very little prep.
Kevin M, your car was the inspiration for mine. I recently was going to trade to a TT but love my car and color to much. I track it a lot. I'm probably going to SC it. As light as a GT2 with more power. I now have track wheels and ordered Nitto NT-01's. Now a little supension work. If I lived in CA I'd want a track car like yours as well as your trailer.
We just don't have the tracks in CO to justify it. I should get in almost 20 track days this summer.
It's amazing to hear others complain about members cars and imply they're a so called poser when they've never seen a track. They're the ultimate garage queen poser.
