Need help with C4S suspension

Hi guys,
I'm new to 6speed. I'm from Bombay, Inda and i have an 04 C4S 996 with about 65k.
I added 19inch wheels to her while i still had the car in the U.k before i shifted to India. She drove perfectly fine and i loved how she handled.
I then changed my wheels to 20inch and shipped her to India. I had her in delhi for while and she was a bit hard on the bumps. Now i've brought her down to bombay and i cant drive her on these roads. It feels like i hit a bomb on every bump i hit. i can be doing 20mph and it still hits hard. what should i do?
thinking about changing my wheels, or shocks... but not sure what would be better. dont know too much about porsche's. this is my first.
appreciate any help...

20 inch wheels are too big. you'll probably end up damaging your wheels, or worse, your suspension. i'm running stock wheels and suspension and bad road surface is no fun. i can't imagine rolling on 20's. swap back to 18 inch and have your suspension checked to make sure all fasteners are tight.

Welcome to the six-

20's are too big for a 996. Absolutely everyone here will tell you to take them off the car.
18's will give you the best ride, 19's with a good tire like PS2 will probably be comparable and give you the added style you are looking for.
Upgrading to a coilover suspension like PSS9/10 or KWv3's will give you an improved ride and bump handling. I have 18's on my C2 and with the original suspension the ride was terrible on bumps.
I upgraded to KWv3's and the ride is fantastic. Will be upgrading to 19's as soon as I can make up my frigging mind on wheels.

Or... Just go buy a 997 and put the 20's on it

go back to 19"s or 18"s, changing the suspension won't do much

RG5s, dog, RG5s. 11s in the rear. Game over.

Suspension won't do much at all with the low series profile you are running with 20's. 18's will give you a much better ride sine the series profile is taller. 20's in my eyes is too much bling and is a big NO NO on a 996.

The 20's are probably giving you a performance loss too due to their increased weight. Lose the wheels, or get a Cadillac.

Driving in Mumbai you'd be wise to go back to stock 18's and leave the suspension stock as well.

Hey,
I would highly suggest you to stay away from 19s or above. I used to live in india (actually still visit very often) and very well aware of teh mumbai streets. I used to have an amg with 19s. It was hell driving on those roads.
My advise is to have 18s with tires that have strong shoulders. Not sure if this is your daily car or a car to take out to the "mumbai party nights"
