So This Is What I Woke Up To!!
Hope not any paint damage. Windshield is easy to replace without impacting car value.
Some kid threw a rock at my car last year WITH me sitting it in. Luckily, no paint damage and only a minor chip. I talked to the kid and let him go.
Not sure if vandals come out after 4:30a. That's pretty late. Call the cops and see if you can get a high fence around the spot. Chances are, they will be back.

Sorry to see that, looks like kids messing about on the way home...
You can pick up some cheap camera's now that can record in the dark and hook up wireless to your PC... I think its a good investment.

+1 on the webcam with nighttime IR, they are cheap and easy to set up to record compressed video to hard disk.
That totally sucks. It happens. You should claim this under "comprehensive" and not "collision" - they will not jack your rates. If they do, you need to find another insurance company.
In the 1.5 years I've had my 996:
Some a-hole backed into my car a few months after I bought it, tore a hole in the bumper. I came out of my house in the morning and was like wtf?!?!?!?! (Ok so I claimed it and used the $ to "upgrade" to a GT3 bumper).
then while I was at the bank a different a-hole backed over the front of my car just three weeks after I got my GT3 bumper painted / installed. And of course didn't leave a note... (damage was below my $500 deductible and guess what the repair cost... $480.)
a few months later some punks do a smash-and-grab on our X3, busting out the drivers window and stealing the TomTom GPS. fortunately I had lowered my comprehensive deductible to $100, so that is all it cost me for new window, window trim and door repaint.
sucks yeah, but again, stuff like this just happens. Good luck with getting your baby repaired. it's always a traumatic experience.

Damn dude, I know how you feel. My wife used to have a Lincoln Navigator all pimped out and we woke up with the tv's, DVD player, Navigation system, and miscellaneous items.....Here's the low blow that might set you off, THEY SIPHENED THE GAS OUT OF HER TANK AS WELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Comprehensive to me is the only insurance I worry about. That is ridiculous is probably someone just hating on your car. Hope all goes well if not, I'm a pretty reasonably sized guy who won't back down from much so I'll teach someone a lesson...

makes me want the "lethal deterrent" car alarm from "robocop".
