Broke My Left Femur!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys.....well sad to say, I will not be behind the wheel of my 02 996 C2 anytime soon. This past Wednesday, I was at Mlestone Motocross Park for a track day practicing when I came up short on a triple (jump). The front end nosed into the face of the triple and I went over the bars. The bike tumbled onto me multiple times and I found myself lying on the ground with my knee and foot facing backwords.... RESULT, A COMEPLTELY BROKEN LEFT FEMUR.............

So even though I am an injured athlete, I find that my 996 has become an innocent victim of temporary abandonment (3 to 6 months to be exact).

Coming from a motocross background I hate the point when you know your going to be short and sorry for the bad odds you had that day. I hope you and the bike get better soon but will give you a chance to wax up the car if possible in the near future. BOL

Hey Socal. I heard about the accident and it sounded pretty bad. Glad to see you back on 6speed. Hope recovery is fast. At least you still have 6speed to help motivate you to get healed faster. Get well!!!

Yeah 6speed keeps me movin . I even had an appointment this last thursday (next day after riding) to lower my car. I guess my 996 will have to look like a cayenne for a bit. Maybe I can convince someone to drive it to the auto place so at least I can see what I'll have to look forward to.

Eric from Supreme Powersports, sorry for ditchin my appointment, as you can see, the hopital took all my open appointments ;(

LOL Gravity is hell.... When off the track in arizona long distance desert riding was a great training ground also except for those river washes I managed to find that did not let me know they where there until it was to late and all I could think of was making like EVIL KNEVIL but what memories. Maybe a good chance to catch up on a movie like the original "On Any Sunday" with Steve McQueen when ready. Curious can't you still prop your leg up on the bars and ride?

SoCal:

Ouch! I used to hit the dirt back in the day! I still remember the pain! I'll be at the races next weekend TX - my little brother still races! In fact just a couple years ago he broke his leg doing the same thing...

I was just telling my brother that he should be considering getting into cars and getting off them MX bikes.

Get well!

I broke my heal 2 years ago at the Supercross track in Joliet, IL. Two months on crutches sucks big time. My first injury in 20 years of racing. Now I'm back to BMX. Same adrenaline rush, less risk. Good luck on your recovery.
