Question Cost for new brakes?

How much should I expect to pay for new brakes on a NA 996?

(Age old question, I know...) Should I go with OEM pads or Pagid Sport? I want good performance, but no squealing.

Lastly, best fluid to use when changing the brakes so it has good heat tolerance on track days.

Thanks,
-Aron

Front and rear stock pads should cost you around $200
I used ATE Blue for the last track event. I also made a last minute decsion and tried the Pagid Oranges for the track. I was impressed with them, but only use them for the track, becuase they will squeel for around town use. Best prices are from http://www.paragon-products.com. You also get one can of ATE Blue with each set of pads. Pick up a Power Bleeder as well

Thanks Kevin. For the mechanically challenged, is changing the pads as easy as it sounds? Maybe an hour to do all 4 corners?

Its actually very simple.. shouldn't take more then 1 1/2
check over on renntech.org for do it yourself instructions. Maybe anouther 45 mintutes to bleed brakes, I would do this at the same time
