I'm looking to powder or ceramic coat my stock exhaust tips. Looking at the inside of the tip, I can see a round head bolt and underneath a nut . Is that it, (it can't be that simple) or do I have to remove the clamp and short downpipe from the muffler. Those clamps are knuckle busters!

Hey, sorry another question for someone in the know, does anyone sell titanium tips? Like the ones on the Cross exhaust? They look so bad ***.

 

This is the thing, if you remove the bolt and nut the tip is not just come out ez. If you look closely the end flare out a bit, so to get the tip out without remove the short bend downpipe you need to wiggle the tip until the tip loosen. It helps with a little spray of WD40. Be patient and take your time. And if your tip is stubbornly stuck then remove the clamp to take down the downpipe.

 

Yeah I noticed the flair, I'll give it a try, hopefully I can avoid having to remove the downpipe.
