Couldn't resist. I went and ordered a speed yellow set. Good deal since it was sort of local. I'm going down (Ft. Lauderdale) Sat morning for the install. I love the painted backs and I know it would be a huge pain in the *** trying to sell my stock seats. FYI, they import them and wholesale these seats to Lltek and NRauto. I'll post some pics.
Gary:
Can I bring you back anything special from south FL in my new hidden compartment?

Shot of the speed yellows
Yeah, I'll leave the oil alone for this trip, smartass It will starting getting expensive if keep changing out 8.5 quarts every time I take it for a spin!
MSB: Yes, they wholesale this kit out to Llteck and NR. Just remember, NR has two kits. They offer the same one I just purchased, although NR sells them for more money ($1300). And then they offer the full sport seat conversion, where you actually have to take your seats to an upholstery shop and have the top and sides redone. The second option by NR would probably end up costing significanly more than a good set of used sport seats. It's $2000 for the kit with painted backs, then you still have to pay for labor at the upholstery shop. That's kind of crazy considering you can buy a good set of sport seats on here for around $2K.
Here's a shot of a set of speed yellow ones the ebay retailer just did for a turbo customer. Nice thing about this kit is that it's reasonably priced, looks pretty good, and you can maintain all the power features on the seat. I won't say they look as good as a real sport seat, but pretty close. Now I don't have to deal with trying to dump the stock seats on ebay. The wife wasn't real big about losing the memory power seat functions. It's pretty cool how the seats adjust to which key you're using.

deputydog,
tks for the info, i know what you mean by loosing the seat memory function and the heated seats, then have to get stuck with an extra set of seats. we'll i guess this gives me a clearer direction for my mod..
tks again.

For anybody that interested, in case you didn't see my post, I went ahead and had a set installed this weekend. You can see the pics and the writeup under my thread "Sport seat retorfit kit with painted backs". I think it's still up on the first page.
