Worn Engine Mounts.

Has this happened to anyone? Began to notice a coolant leak from my car so I bought the necessary hose and replaced the reservoir cap. Then I noticed the leak coming from higher in the cooling system a part I couldn't get to.

Had the BH service center take a look and they said the engine was sagging on to the larger coolant hose due to worn engine mounts.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? is this normal? could this have something to do with taking turns hard and having a very steep drive way?? normal wear & tear?

Any input would be appreciated.

Ouch! Cheap parts but a ton in labor.

I don't think driving would do it, perhaps hard loads from shifting and aggressive downshifts over time.

I'd get polyurethane replacements while you are at it. Try www.fvd.us

Not the cap, not the hoses! Did you check the tank itself? Where does the coolant leak down on the ground?

My engine mounts have worn....They are liquid filled so I guess it's appropriate.

I havent had any coolant issues though?

RS Motor mounts.

FVD = $686

Carnewal = $455

It was a different hose in the plumbing. Good thing it wasn't the reservoir otherwise that would be a lot in labor!
