Question To Turbo or to Supercharge.....

........That is the question.
I'm debating getting one or the other done. Surely the performance outputs of each are different as well as the cost of parts and labor, but I would be interested in getting some insight as to what everyone thinks........

Simple, you have a NA then SC is the answer. If you want a Turbo then sell the C4S and get yourself a TT. It'll be cheaper plus the TT uses a better engine anyways.

Probably about the same cost upfront. You'd never recover the cost of the SC on resale and would be maxed out on performance. However, it would be faster than a stock TT from what I understand. TT much more upgradeable for a cost of course. I think you could get past the SC'd C4S with just a chip upgrade.

Sell the NA and buy a TT, if not you will just diminish the value of your car and it will never be as quick as a modded TT. Lots of guys here have been faced with the same issue as you, yes you love your car but you want more power. The TT is the only way to go, you will get what you want faster and you can finally say to those who ask" Yea its a Turbo"
Trust someone that went thru what you did.

I think the TT is the better approach but I think a C4S with a supercharger would be sweet. I'm going to try and make it this weekend. I use to love turbos but overtime have grown more interest in superchargers, I just prefer some characteristics. I don't know, either way you can't go wrong, seems like the TT would be a lot of fun to mod, but from experience with turbos comes....I need this and this, until you spent a ton of money. With a supercharger, you kind of get what you get, only a couple options. The turbo engine is built better and if you want to get a lot of boost the N/A set-up won't allow it without concern.

I'd love to but my 15 year old has a lacrosse tournament that day. Spring sports for the kids make meets hard to attend. Rain check this time but when summer arrives my weekends free up.

tt is the only way to go... the only reason the sc is a good deal because it's a lot less trouble...... throw in $15K and you're all set..... the other route, sell the car, then go get another one, but you have to go through the PPI, and neg. then more money..... i hear ya man.... but it's worth the trouble.....

You know, this discussion illustrates perfectly why I think the SC's out there don't sell very well. When ownership of the SC bumps up close to that of the TT, most people will make the jump to the TT instead. It's not as clear cut if you have a C2, but with the C4S the economics of it scream "buy the TT!"
